I looked back at my notes that I took at the end of this Pop Up live podcast record at The Imperial and all it says is:
GREAT
That's probably all you need right?
These were only for the opening couple of nights of the festival, and by donation - special treats for the 'Hammorazis' - Justin Hamilton's fond name for his fans and fans of the Can You Take This Photo Please (CYTTPP) podcast.
I can't recommend this podcast enough - Justin is a tireless supporter of Australian comedy with an interview style that encourages revelations from his guests you wouldn't hear anywhere else.
What I like most about CYTTPP is the episodes that focus in depth on the craft of comedy, it's artistry and what it can achieve as commentating voice and mirror to how society is going.
There's a lot in the archive of CYTTPP - my best recommendation is to find comedians, actors and other notables that you already know and listen to those episodes and then you'll be hooked.
Also if like me you are fascinated by how comedy works check out Justin's blog where he writes about each gig that he does and he explores what impact changing the construction of his set list has on the shows overall.
